WE DID IT! Top 40 - "Greenest Block In Brooklyn" Contest

Our efforts were noted by the Greenest Block in Brooklyn judges and we are now in the "Top 40" - read all about it below in the contest newsletter announcement.  You will also note that there are a number of other blocks in the neighborhood that have been selected - GO PLG!

To keep our block beautiful, let us all keep up the good work by:
  • WATERING THE FLOWERS AND TREES AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE
  • PICKING UP TRASH
  • WEEDING (remember:  pull by the roots so they don't grow back)
Thank you again for supporting The Ocean by the Park Tree Club, and here's to greening!

It’s sure looking green out there!

Despite a frigid winter and a dry start to spring, hundreds of Brooklyn’s green thumbs met the challenge… and it shows!

Take note:

First-round judging is now complete! Of the nearly 200 blocks that entered, 40 have advanced to the semi-final round.
